About Us

Hi!  We are Adrian and Brenda-Lee Thompson and we welcome you to our website! 

We started this website as a vehicle for sharing information and our own personal experiences which we think might be helpful and of interest to you.  We spent many years as entrepreneurs running several businesses.  We had a nice house and a nice life, all the while working very hard as most self-employed people do!  Still, we felt that there was maybe more to life, so we boldly chose to follow a long time dream:  we sold all but one of our businesses and our house; bought an RV and began travelling Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.   We are calling this new phase our "first retirement".  With no kids to put through college and only the dog to support, taking this time out in our 40's seems a great new adventure. 

We have two goals: one is to find the time and space to "unclench" from the years as business owners; and the other is to find a place to spend winters in warmer climes.  Bailey, our Jack Russel Terrier, is 14 people-years-old.  She's slowing down (finally) and with some mild arthritis it doesn't hurt her feelings to be closer to the sun as well!

Adrian's field of expertise is water filtration, including commercial, home and RV applications.  Those in the industry often refer to him as "The Water Filter Solution Guy".  Brenda-Lee is an author and travel writer, writing extensively about our destinations and RV experiences.  

Bailey is a well-travelled pup these days.  She loves the beach...any beach, and even hitches a ride on mom's boogie board now and then!
