Campground Etiquette: RV Laundry Room

Even if you're lucky enough to have laundry facilities in your RV, you may still need to use the RV laundry room as part of your RV experience.Campground Etiquette: Be the right kind of laundry room animal

Follow some simple campground etiquette to ensure you are the right kind of laundry room 'animal':

Don't be a laundry beaver: Don't 'dam' the flow of the laundry room. If all the machines are busy and you want to wait for the next available washer, wait with your laundry. Leaving your laundry bin and expecting others to wait behind you isn't practical. After all, how are we to know if you've left your laundry for a minute, or an hour?

Don't be a laundry turtle: Be mindful of getting your laundry out of the machines in a timely fashion. If you don't sit in the laundry room to wait, set the timer at the RV so you can get back to the laundry room in time.   If you wait too long, you may return to find your laundry has been removed from the washer or dryer for you and is sitting elsewhere.

Don't be a laundry hog: When doing multiple loads, try to leave at least one washing machine free for someone coming in after you. Don't tie up all the machines unless absolutely necessary. Of course, some RV laundry rooms we visited in Mexico had only one washer and dryer. In this case, it's even more important to not be a laundry turtle!

Basically, use considerate campground etiquette when using the RV laundry room.
