RV Campground Etiquette: Around the Campfire |

Following RV campground etiquette is never more important than around the campfire.
Before you strike the match, make sure that campfires are in fact allowed on your site. If they are allowed it's important to still keep your neighbours in mind. Not everyone appreciates a campfire -- especially those
with allergies or lung issues. When planning a campfire, use only the prescribed wood supply provided by the campground. Don't use your fire pit as a garbage can. Many waste items don't burn, and the smell from plastics or Styrofoam can be toxic to you and your pets.
Once you are done with the fire, ensure it is put it completely. A smoldering pile of ash may disrupt the sleep of many in your vicinity. You may not be very popular in the morning!
Basically, be a considerate fire marshall. Follow RV campground etiquette, even around the campfire.
